Swindon lingerie boutique bucks trend with move to the High Street
While most headlines concentrate on the internet hurting the High Street, it's nice to report a success story where the opposite is the case.
Provocative Pleasures, who now have a shop in Rodbourne Road near the Designer Outlet Village, started last year purely online.
But after excellent sales in 2012, owner Triona and her partner
Karl Lubieniecki decided to open up their first boutique in Swindon last month.
Triona said: “With our first boutique now open, it’s set to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome, and can feel totally comfortable."
Their shop's location has also seen a resurgence at the top end of Rodbourne Road where a new hairdressers and cafe have opened alongside.
Provocative Pleasures, who specialise in lingerie, swimwear and adventurous accessories can be found at 210 Rodbourne Road.
Their next opening evening will be held on
Thursday 20 June.
